WHO WE ARE
The Tourism Diversification and
Resilience in The Gambia Project
(TDRGP) is a five year project
supported by US$68 million IDA
Investment Project Financing (IPF)
and implemented by the Ministry of
Tourism and Culture.
It aims to transform The Gambia's
tourism sector by promoting growth and
diversification.
Through collaboration
with the government, development
partners, communities and the tourism
industry, the project aims to enhance the
competitiveness, inclusivity, and
resilience of the country's tourism
sector
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVE
Project Development Objective Statement
The objective is to support the diversification and climate resilience of the tourism sector at selected destinations.
HOW WE MEASURE PROGRESS
Progress toward achieving the Project Development Objective will be measured by the following indicators:
1. Share of international arrivals from non-
traditional markets (percentage)
2. Share of beneficiary MSMEs with new or
expanded contracts with tourism Lead
Firms (percentage, disaggregated by
gender)
3. Increased shoreline with targeted coastal
erosion control measures (square meters).
